The world’s greatest basketball player Michael Jordan has received the keys to his brand-new hypercar – a Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution Roadster. The car was delivered to Jordan’s Grove XXIII private golf club in Florida, by John Hennessey himself.
The Venom F5 Revolution is a track-focused version of the standard Venom F5. While the former has been tuned for handling, the latter has lower downforce in order to achieve speeds in excess of 300 mph. Michael Jordan’s Hennessey Venom F5 has an exposed carbon exterior with yellow accents.
The Revolution Roadster features a fixed spoiler at the rear and an extended front splitter with dual canards on either side. It also gets a new engine cover with an integrated roof scoop.
It is powered by a twin-turbo V8 that develops 1817 hp @ 8,000 rpm and 1,193 lb-ft of torque @ 5,000 rpm. Power is sent to the rear axle via a single-clutch semi-automatic transmission. There are five driving modes in total – Sport, Wet, Drag, Track and F5. The engine can rev to 8,500 rpm in F5 mode.
Hennessey is building 24 examples of this track-focused Venom F5.
