Hyundai continues its evolution as a Smart Mobility Solution Provider with availability of Hyundai Home in more than 40 states, expanding nearly three times in just five months from its initial launch in November 2022. Hyundai Home is a one-stop online marketplace connecting homeowners to solar panels, energy storage systems, EV chargers and local installers.
Hyundai has partnered with Electrum, a leader in home electrification solutions, to develop the Hyundai Home Marketplace.
“Hyundai Home is a one-stop shop marketplace that equips customers with comprehensive knowledge, personalized resources, and the expert guidance of an energy advisor. We’re doing more than just helping to reduce electric bills, we’re building a foundation for a more sustainable lifestyle,” said Olabisi Boyle, vice president, product planning and mobility strategy, Hyundai Motor North America. “Hyundai Home is a key component of our customer-focused approach to increase EV awareness and adoption while delivering the best ownership experience. This service complements our out-of-home charging partnership with Electrify America as part of Hyundai’s holistic efforts to ensure it is easy and cost-effective for customers to transition to one of our award-winning electric vehicles.”
Inside the Hyundai Home Marketplace, customers can purchase their home charger, learn about home solar, home energy storage, and access their own dedicated energy advisor. These advisors guide customers through the purchase and installation process, and answer questions about suitable energy system options to help determine the right system for customers’ home energy needs.
Whether a customer is trying to take advantage of the potential IRA tax credits to reduce energy costs and their carbon footprint by installing solar and energy storage, or simply trying to secure a level 2 EV charger for their new Hyundai EV, Hyundai Home makes the process seamless and transparent. The marketplace will present customers with multiple installation bids for each project, sourced from a network of trusted electricians.
Customers can then review the proposals, consult with their energy advisor and ultimately select the best offer for them. The energy advisor will provide customer service throughout the ownership experience. Hyundai’s dealers in the available states will be able to educate customers on the Hyundai Home offering and connect them directly to the online marketplace.
