Aston Martin Valkyrie needs a transmission rebuild every 31k miles!

Hypercar ownership isn’t cheap. Of course, nobody would think otherwise, especially when the car in question costs $3 million – the Aston Martin Valkyrie. More specifically, we will be sharing the maintenance schedule for this insane British hypercar.

Earlier this week, one of our sources sent us the owner’s manual for the Aston martin Valkyrie. The 192-page document is just like any other user’s guide for a car. It explains the different controls, location of the fuse box, jacking points, etc.

While sifting through the document, we came across the service schedule for the Valkyrie, which is quite interesting. Aston recommends the car be serviced every 5,000 km / 3,100 miles or 12 months. It also lists out the work that will be done on the car at each service interval. Most of it is standard stuff, like replacing fluids and inspecting for wear until you reach the 50,000 km or 31,000-mile mark.

The Valkyrie’s transmission has to be rebuilt every 31,000 miles. The 7-speed single-clutch automated manual sourced from Ricardo must be taking a hell of a beating, given the fact that it has to handle over 1000 hp.

That being said, we don’t even want to imagine the cost of an “engine-out” service on one of these.
