A Lamborghini dealer is offering a chance to own a 2022 Countach. The only issue is that it’s rather expensive, even by Lamborghini’s standards.
The car has been listed at Lamborghini Montreal with an asking price of $6.75 million. That’s 2.5 times its original price tag!
Yes, the Countach is a special edition, of which, only 112 units were built. But at the end of the day, it’s still a re-bodied Aventador. The plaque doesn’t mention other details like the odometer reading, but our guess is that it hasn’t been driven much.
The 2022 Countach was conceived as a homage to the original model on its 50th anniversary. It is one of several restyled versions of the Aventador.
The Countach shares its powertrain with the Lamborghini Sian. It’s a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine paired with a mild-hybrid system that uses a supercapacitor instead of a conventional lithium-ion battery. The car can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 220 mph.
Enthusiasts of the brand would certainly be interested in acquiring one. However, the final negotiated price would most certainly be nowhere close to the asking price. Also, with the launch of the Aventador successor just around the corner, it would be wise to hold on to your cash.
