This week has been quite exciting, especially since we posted the design patents of the Lamborghini Aventador successor. These images gave us our first look at the final design of the upcoming supercar. We even did a follow-up story looking at social media reactions to the leaked images.
Now, Varryx has caught what appears to be the final production-spec LB744 just outside the Lamborghini factory. The latest footage reveals even more details about the car.
As we had reported earlier, the LB744 gets a completely new engine cover with louvres on either side. The bodywork wraps around the twin hexagonal exhaust tips at the back. Flanking them are the Centenario-inspired LED taillights.
Varryx’s video also reveals details of the rear bumper and the integrated diffuser. However, the biggest difference between the Aventador and the new model is that the latter doesn’t seem to have air vents that extend depending on the engine temperature. Instead, it adopts flying buttresses similar to the Ford GT.
While the general styling might be inspired by Lambos from the recent past, the similarities end there. Under the skin, the Aventador successor will be powered by V12 hybrid, which rumoured to develop around 1050 hp. Unlike its predecessor, the new model will feature a dual-clutch transmission.
