Free revving turbo-petrol power unit
Under the hood of the Venue N-Line lies a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that loves to rev. It produces a maximum power of 120 PS and a peak torque of 172 Nm. This is a special engine as it loves to rev to a higher limit. The red line limiter is set at 6,000 rpm and you can make full use of the engine with the 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT).
The engine is a three-cylinder but is well-balanced with a counterbalancer. It is highly refined and the engine even does not feel like it is turned on while idling. The power delivery is very linear even when the turbocharger kicks in. The engine makes the Venue N-Line highly spirited. Complementing this SUV’s sporty and exciting drive, a throaty and grunting exhaust note amplifies the thrill of driving the Hyundai VENUE N Line, making heads turn everywhere you go.
Best gearbox in the segment
The new Hyundai Venue N-Line only comes with a 7-speed DCT. It is a standard option and boy, it is fun. With a dual-clutch set-up, the gearbox is lightning quick. It changes its attitude depending on the mode you select—Normal, Eco or Sport. While the Sport Mode will have your enthusiastic drives covered, there are paddle shifters mounted behind the steering wheel, just in case you need the control that only the manual can provide. So, if you are feeling a bit too enthusiastic, turn to paddle shifters to maximize the fun.
The gearshifts are quicker than your eye blink and happen very smoothly. The perfect gearbox for the perfect engine.
Handling you have been missing
SUVs are not known for their handling capabilities. The Venue N-Line though is very different. Hyundai has worked on the suspension of the Venue N-Line extensively. The damping is firmer and you notice the same while taking turns or going through the ruts. The firm suspension does not downgrade the ride quality at all. In fact, it makes the experience better.
The suspension setup and the accurate steering allow you to change lanes at high speed. You would not find this characteristic in any other SUV in this segment. The Venue N-Line presents itself as a perfect city car while conquering the highways with ease.
Sounds like a thunder
The twin exhaust chrome tips of the Venue N-line produce an exceptionally deep and throaty exhaust note that adds to its sporty character. The deep rumble rises with the engine speed and it is loud enough to filter inside the cabin to give your ego a pump. The exhaust note of the new Venue N-Line is as good a head-turner as its looks.
Hyundai has done a perfect job in designing the new Venue N-Line, amplifying the SUV’s futuristic and hi-tech appeal with an intuitive in-cabin experience and dynamic exteriors, the new Venue N-Line is sporty inside out.
There are a lot of red accents on the N-Line. The front and rear bumpers are tweaked with red accents on the lower sections. The red-coloured accents are also present on the roof rails, and the freshly minted 16-inch alloy wheels. The design of the alloy wheels looks razor sharp and through them, you could spot the red brake callipers too. Since the four wheels get disc brakes, the red callipers are all around. There is N-Line badging on the front grille, which gets a dark chrome tint.
The cabin is also draped in the N-Line colours, the black cabin gets red accents as well. You get a new three-spoke steering wheel with the N-Line badge.
Even the seats are new and are leather-wrapped with red accents. You will also find N-Line badging over the seats. The red ambient light sets up the mood in the car. To top it all, there are aluminium pedals that are highly premium and look exotic in the car.
Venue N-Line’s combination of sporty looks, fun-to-drive character, and high ground clearance make it the perfect compact SUV for those who love driving their wheels.
