We have several videos of exotic and rare cars that have been imported from other countries. Lately, people are prefering to bring in the car to India via Carnet as it is much more easier than importing a new car. Usually people prefer to bring expensive SUVs and sports cars. We have featured cars like Dodge Viper, Ford Raptor SUV on our website in the past. Very rarely we have seen people bring in a proper muscle car. Here we have a video of a Dodge Charger SRT and Challenger SRT in Bengaluru and people were so excited to see the cars that they ended up creating a block on the road.
The video has been uploded by SPOTTER INDIA on their YouTube channel. Bengaluru as we all know is a city infamous for its traffic. It also has a decent number of sports car enthusiasts and they are often seen out on the roads. The Dodge Challenger and Charger are both seen on a narrow shopping street in Bengaluru. The Challenger in Neon Green shade and the Charger in Red shade are slowly moving ahead. The people on the street do notice the car mainly because of the colour and the loud exhausts. People on the road immediately start gathering around the car and start clicking pictures.

Some of them who have gathered around the car don’t even know the brand of the car. The video mentions that some of them even called the cars Ferrari. As seen in the video, mostly everyone on the street was holding their smartphones in their hand and were either clicking pictures or recording videos. As the crowd started coming on the road, the traffic movement on the road got interrupted and it started creating block. Police soon came to the spot and asked the car owners to move the car out of the way. They also asked people to get back so that the traffic can flow normally. Both Challenger and Charger can be heard revving hard in the video. The loud exhausts with pops and bangs were making people turn their head around.
The car spotter in another video had mentioned that both these cars were brought to India by owners from Kerala and they were visiting Bangalore. Carnet is is a temporary passport for goods. Using Carnet, a person can import a car to India without paying import tax and duty on that particular vehicle. The car is usually imported for a period of 6 to 12 months and that is why it is exempted from import tax and duty. Dodge Challenger seen here looks like a third generation SRT variant. It is a 2 door muscle car that comes with 6.4 litre V8 engine that generates 485 Ps and 644 Nm of peak torque. The car is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The Dodge Charger which is another iconic muscle car seen here is a facelift model which was launched back in 2015. Bringing such cars to India definitely shows how much these owners love their cars. The response from the public was even more impressive as they were all surprised to see such a car on Indian road.
