The next-gen Alto K10 is expected to be launched in the Indian market on August 18.

The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 has been revealed through a leaked document ahead of its official launch.

The 2022 Alto K10 will be based on the Heartect platform. It measures 3,530 mm in length, 1,490 mm in width, 1,520 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,380 mm. The entry-level hatchback is expected to be offered in Std, Std (O), LXI, LXI (O), VXI, VXI (O), VXI+ and VXI+ (O) variants.

The new Alto K10 has a large front grille flanked by reshaped headlamp clusters. It gets squarish tail lamps and redesigned bumpers. The overall shape of the bodyshell looks similar to the previous K10.

Inside, the car gets a 3-spoke steering wheel and a basic digital instrument cluster. The centre console houses a touchscreen infotainment system and the air-conditioning module, which in this case, is a manual unit.

The Alto K10 will be powered by a 998cc K10C petrol engine producing 66 BHP @ 5,500 rpm. It will be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT.

Maruti Suzuki is likely to introduce the next-generation Alto in the Indian market on August 18.
